LONELY PLACES

“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”
— ‭‭Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬‬

OBSERVATION:
“One of those days”
happen to be on a mountainside,
another one: all night,
another one: lonely places,

The common denominator is not location but function and the regularity of that operation. Prayer.

There are daily demands that scream for my attention. I find myself OFTEN doing tasks that deplete my energy. No complaints here. The reminder for me is to include the vital but often neglected function of communion with my Father. Prayer to the Master was as natural as going from place to place. The location mattered not. Prayer did.

Lonely places matter. Lonely places plus prayer equals streams of living water; refreshing; tides of revelation and inner strength. Do this often and every location will be adventurous.

PRAYER:
Father, help me to pay attention to the energy output and develop the “often” habit of communion regardless of location. You are always good to me Master.
