Psalms 126:4 -,
1 It was like a dream come true
when you freed us from our bondage and brought us back to Zion!
2 We laughed and laughed and overflowed with gladness.
We were left shouting for joy and singing your praise.
All the nations saw it and joined in, saying,
“The Lord has done great miracles for them!”
3 Yes, he did mighty miracles and we are overjoyed!
4 Now, Lord, do it again
It came every 12 months. This time it was no different. Nothing ever changed. The sound of groaning and affliction for 400 years was common to the eye and ear of Israel. Still in slavery, oppression, the children of Israel longed for freedom from God’s enemies. As they approached the new year, the cry for freedom was a common prayer and longing. But God remained silent for 146,000 days.
As I thought about this scenario for Gods people, I think about many today. Why approach the new year expecting anything different? Lets just learn to live with the enemies hand heavy upon us. Im use to it.
DO NOT GIVE IN TO THE LIE OF YOUR ENEMY.
God delights in restoring us to our former glory! He longs to fill us and quench our thirst until our hearts are drenched again! DO IT AGAIN LORD as you so often do!
I don’t know about you the reader, but I’m going to believe God will do this again in my life…the life of my family and friends…specifically the life of the city I reside in and am called to…SEGUIN TX.
He remains faithful and His character is never in doubt. I will trust and not be afraid of the lie whispers that potentially wound and destroy the vision. Its way bigger than any of us for sure!
