Matthew 6 – Look at the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?”
May we get a glimpse of our worth today and live in a manner that reflects His love towards us. Be high-minded.
Here are three scriptures that affirm the worth and value of every human being:
- Psalm 139:13-14 (NIV):
“For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.”
This scripture reminds us that each person is fearfully and wonderfully made by God, and that we are intricately formed and known by Him even before birth.
- Ephesians 2:10 (NIV):
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Here, we are reminded that we are God’s masterpiece, created with a purpose and meant to fulfill good works that He has prepared for us. Our worth is found in being part of His divine plan.
- 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV):
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
